Dr. Darci L. Gardner

Darci Gardner joined the faculty at Appalachian in 2014, when she began her appointment in the Department of Languages, Literatures, and Cultures. She specializes in French literature of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. She regularly teaches “Women Writers of French Expression” and literature courses that explore how biases impact readers. She holds a Ph.D. in French from Stanford University and a B.A. in Comparative Literature from Vanderbilt University.
